As an independent Senior Web Analyst and Consultant, I help individuals and organisations to understand their online web presence and advise them on how to engage with their target audiences more effectively.

 

Typically, I explain new tools to senior management, implement these and create a "best of breed" environment with the rest of the team. I understand the connection between traffic sources and on-site journey, and I help to build a customer data base that works towards a personalised online experience. Then, I will review new analytical and/or testing tool sets and report them back to stakeholders.

As a WPM I have seen a lot of projects take months or even years to complete or even worse, get cancelled before development even starts. For me, getting online is becoming a no.1 priority to remain competitive. Be it a one web pager to generate a web presence or a comprehensive online profile, planning is key to getting online in a time effective manner and planning ensures the project stays on track. Defining the scope and tracking of the project helps all involved keep to the schedule. Of course, things do happen that may derail the project, be they happy accidents or stumbling blocks, and in this business, communication and compromise throughout are needed to get the job done.
